Merit Scholarships
General
Scholarships
* all amounts are for students
entering St. Ambrose in 2008-2009 academic year.
Scholarships are awarded for students with general and
special abilities. These are given on the basis of academic
achievement, need, talent and leadership ability. Once a
student is awarded an academic scholarship, it will continue
as long as the student meets satisfactory progress
requirements. Other awards are continued if financial need
or aptitude in a special field still exists.
Each institutional
grant or scholarship has individual criteria for amounts
awarded and some may have GPA requirements to stay eligible.
We also have an off-campus institutional cap of $6,000
effective for the 2008-09 academic year. If your award is
above the cap and you move off campus, your award will be
reduced.
The Office of
Admissions determines the amount of these awards based on a
ranking calculated using high school GPA, ACT/SAT scores and
class rank.
